Projects
From Tanzania to Canada and beyond, here is a glimpse of the communities we are growing, the youth we are empowering, and the change we are creating together.
New Faraja Orphange, Tanzania
New Faraja Orphanage Centre began in 2016 when two founders opened their home in Dar es Salaam to three children with nothing but compassion and conviction. The name says it all; Faraja means "comfort" in Swahili, and that is exactly what this place has been for every child who has come through its doors. Today, New Faraja is home to 120 children, providing safety, education, healthcare, and the kind of consistent, loving care every child deserves. The Harmony and Jay Foundation is proud to partner with New Faraja, supporting their work and helping build a future where every child in their care has everything they need to thrive.
Roots & Wings, Windsor ON
Arriving in a new country takes extraordinary courage, especially for a young person still figuring out who they are. Roots and Wings is a programme designed for immigrant and refugee youth aged 12 to 24 in Windsor, Ontario, created to honour where they come from while building the connections, skills, and sense of belonging they need to thrive in their new home. Grounded in the belief that every young person deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported, Roots and Wings is a place to land, breathe, and grow.
